Glacial Lake Kennel is located in Saugeen Shores, Ontario and is home to 16 CKC/AKC registered Siberian Huskies. These dogs are my pride, my joy, my life.
My team will once again be competing in both Dryland and Sled Sprint races over fall/winter season. We are a top placing team in the highly competitive world of sprint racing, primarily focusing on 4 & 6 dog purebred sprint sled/rig classes. We also race 2 dog Bike/Scooter classes in Dryland. During our racing career, we have had the pleasure of competing twice for Team Canada, once in 2015 for the Dryland World Championship in Bristol, QC, and again in 2017 for the Sled Worlds in Halliburton, ON.
In past years we have been invited as 1 of 3 Purebred teams to represent Team Ontario at the National Dryland Sled dog Championship in Quebec in all 3 offered Purebred classes 2 dog scooter, 4 dog rig & 6 dog rig!
Glacial Lake Kennel has become more active in the community over the last few years, working with other groups & venues to teach people about sled dogs, the history and evolution of harness sports.
Hundreds of people are expected to be in attendance at each race, and the events will be covered by local & provincial radio, television and newspapers.
We offer a few opportunities for advertising exposure with the team that will remain in place until the completion of the spring 2021-22 training season.
Financial sponsorship directly helps pay for race entry fees, veterinary and dog care expenses, travel, accommodation, and mushing equipment such as harness, booties, gang-lines, equipment repairs, Etc.
Costs are anticipated to be approximately $800.00 per event.
Sponsorship levels are as follows:
Level 1: Sponsors your favorite Glacial Lake Kennel K-9 athlete for $30 or more. A thank you message will be on the dog’s web page with your name/business.
$30 is the average cost of a sled dog harness.
Gold K-9 athlete sponsorship up to $125, which helps with costs like: harness food/treats , entree fee etc )
Level 2: Sponsors that contribute $50 or more will receive a ¼ page business ad or logo spot in our Glacial Lake Sled Dog information pamphlet. These are handed out to people at races and interested locals we meet on our training runs.
Level 3: Team sponsorships, You can sponsor our 4 or 6 dog team at a particular race.
4 dog team/ $100 & 6 dog team/$150 per race. Team will carry a "Sponsored by sign" on the equipment (sled/rig) during that race (race eg: Bristol, MacGregor, Kearney, Halliburton... etc) There will also be a sponsored by sigh displayed in the musher parking area with the team, and thank you on our sponsors page.
Level 4: Advertising sponsors that contribute $200 will receive a 1/2 page in the Sled Dog Information pamphlet, a 8x10 Advertising spot on our training trailer. A thank you on our sponsor section of web page or Dog Team page and a team race poster at the end of the season.
